Spencer County Animal Shelter in Taylorsville, KY, provides unwanted, abused, neglected, lost and homeless dogs with a safe place, food, water and lots of love and care. Each dog is evaluated for temperament and health by trained staff. A loving crew of volunteers walk and care for the dogs as they await their forever home. Please adopt!

Striker is a 2-3 yr old pitbull/boxer mix. that has been at the shelter for awhile now. Very sweet and smart dog. he is updated on all shots and has been fixed. he is house broke and just wants to find his forever home. He loves going on walks and playing ball, he was a family dog and very good with kids. he dose have a sensitive stomach but other then that this guy is in perfect health.

LADY IS A 4- 5YR OLD HOUND MIX. SHE IS A VERY SWEET GIRL BUT SHE DOSE NEED TO BE THE ONLY PET IN HER HOME. SHE IS VERY SMART AND LOVES TO RUN. SHE DOSE NEED A BIG FENCED IN BACK YARD AND SHE DOSE HAVE LOTS OF ENERGY. AND SHE IS READY TO FIND HER FOREVER HOME.

LOVES CAR RIDES AND JUST BEING WITH YOU WOULD BE BEST BEING THE ONLY DOG BUT DOSE FINE WITH REPTILES. ALL SHE WANTS IS TO BE WITH YOU.SHE IS HOUSE BROKE AND LOVES TO BE OUTSIDE. Zeus) is a 3yr old Pitbull. he is very sweet and smart but dose have a lot of energy. he is dog selective. but loves people . he could play all day long. he is a very strong dog and would be best in a home with older kids. dose have some training but could use more. he is looking for his forever home.

pending(Sally) is a hound\mix about 5-6yrs old just still has a lot of life still in her, she is very laid back very trained and dose not have a mean bone in her body. she loves everyone would be great with a family that has kids of any age. she walks great on a leash and is house broke she also is great with other dogs. she is going to make someone a very great dog.
Goose, is a 2yr old pit mix. she is super sweet and loves everyone she meets. she is great with kids and other dogs, but she don't do good with cats. she is house trained and great on a leash. loves walks and car rides.she is now looking for her forever home.
